...it's really weird how Kang's only been dealing with relationship stuff for three to four years, yet he has an amazingly healthy one with Fonrar and he can give really good advice (albeit pretty bluntly :|).

Draconians just don't... complicate shit like humans tend to do. If they have a problem, they hash it out frankly and privately (and often violently, but that's just how they roll :D;). They don't expect their partner to cater to their every whim; in fact, that's viewed as a weakness. Any gifts that are given are thoughtful, but practical at the same time (headcanon says that Kang got Fonrar a very good dagger once, because hers was kind of crappy and she'd bitched about it before). They realize that spending time with each other and talking (and LISTENING) is important, and that relationships do take work to be maintained.

And, I completely agree with it, except for the violence bit although I'm sure the rough make-up sex is amazing. I really think it's part of why I like these guys so much.

IDK, I just... issues shouldn't be left to fester, and people should have a damn spine, but still be able to compromise, you know? Meet halfway, don't make yourself miserable to make someone else happy. And really, I'd be just as happy with somebody giving me kitchen stuff or furniture I need as I would a shiny piece of jewelry. It's the thought that's important.

What brought this realization about? A secret and a meme. I love 'Hide and Ratch to death, but they really need to get called on their stupidity by someone soon in-game, for everyone else in the city's sanity. As for the meme, I wanted to contribute, but I honestly couldn't think of any relationship problems Kang would be having that he wouldn't take care of himself, so I went with him asking something he's always wanted to know about the weirdness of humans and elves. :|

In non-RP related news! I have a nifty pair of harem pants on the way, and I hurt in muscles I didn't even know I have today. I'd planned on playing a little bit of DDR, but ended up practicing a few belly dance moves while cooking instead. I didn't feel like dragging the mat out.

Not only did I start working on a height chart for the five types of metallic draconians last night (trans_9, I blame you), but tonight I began coming up with names for the other draconian females, and how many children, of each sex, they will end up having. Oh, and the names of their mates.

Yes. I am a nerd. At least I'm not crazy enough to come up with names for all of the children. Because when you figure four or five kids per clutch on average, with twenty girls, and two clutches per girl... that's at least 160.

The girls:
1 Aurak (Thesik)
2 Sivaks (Hanra, Shanra)
3 Bozaks (Fonrar, Ogla)
4 Kapaks (Kasi)
10 Baaz (Riel)

So for canon pairings, we've got Kang/Fonrar, Hanra/Slith/Shanra, Thesik/Artisanthax, and Cresel/Riel. That leaves mates for Ogla and Kasi, and thirteen other couples.

Okay. Explain how this makes sense. Auraks are usually about seven feet tall, and weigh between 140-190 pounds.

Shaq's 7'1", and weighs 325 pounds.

Nixing the weight of wings, and considering that they're much more sinewy than the other types, that's still a bit... off. Scales are heavier than skin, they have a (short) tail, and I wouldn't be surprised if their bones are slightly denser than a human's. Oh, and the claws and fangs would add a little weight.
