Writer's Block: Go it alone

Ohgod yes.
There's nothing wrong with being single, or not wanting to have children. I'm lucky that my immediate family doesn't keep bringing it up (Mom occasionally points out when guys are checking me out, which is somewhat amusing), but it gets so annoying when other people ask me why I'm not actively looking for someone to date, or try to hook me up with someone, or tell me that I'm young, and I'll change my mind about not wanting to have any kids of my own someday.
It's my life. Let me live it how I want to, as long as I'm not hurting anybody. Maybe I will change my mind and maybe I won't, but it's my decision and I think I know myself better than you ever will.
The pressure seems worse to people during the holidays because everyone is visiting family, and of course that subject is going to pop up often.
...also, related gripe about society and pressure. I'm sick and tired of seeing commercials for Wal-Mart and Target and shit during the holidays where the boy gets the robots and the cars and the video games, and the girl always gets the Barbies and the pink shit and the dolls. 8|
