Were any of you even alive when Pearl Harbor got attacked?

The sheer arrogance here is astounding. Why do you think that God favors OUR country above all others, and why didn't He hit Japan with a massive quake DURING THE WAR instead of almost 70 years later?

1. Kraut is a derogatory term for Germans, not Japanese.

/rubbing bridge of nose/ God can people be more stupid. Ugh this is frustrating.

I also find it ironic that they bring up Katrina when there were Americans during THAT time saying that it was punishment from God for how "sinful" we've been and that's why it hit New Orleans so hard.

Just...what? What! AUGH!

Pearl Harbor =/= Current Earthquake on Japan. Plus, it's been SEVENTY FREAKING YEARS. Next thing you know there will be a crisis in Russia and we'll be saying how those "Damn Commies" deserved it. I may be wrong about this but I was under the impression that present day America was actually on good terms with Japan.

I'm just glad I haven't seen any comments like this from people I know.

I just read something on Kia's facebook and she brought up a good point as well: most of the people probably saying we shouldn't help Japan were not even ALIVE then. Not to mention the people in Japan who were affected by the earthquake were probably ALSO not alive then.

Not to mention there are several Americans over there who have been affected by this disaster as well.

It's things like this that make me sick. Even if we didn't have people over there, this is a natural disaster and people have died. It has nothing to do with a war or an attack that happened over 70 years ago.

Still, I like to think that THESE people are a minority as most of the things I have seen on twitter, facebook, and lj have been about sending aid in any way possible.

If anyone takes this as anything other than a trolljoke, I am sorry.

If any of those people were friends with me on FB, I think I'd probably drive to their house and punch them square in the mouth for being such a piece of shit.

And then I'd probably punch them again for being so completely stupid that they're making dumb comments about things they obviously don't know beans about. "Japan started WWII"....um, no. Learn your history if you're going to try to be cute about it. World War II started quite a bit before the US got involved. Yes, Pearl Harbor was terrible. But that was then, and Japan isn't our enemy any more.
